So the other week I went along to a talk at the Fashion and Textile Museum held for a collection of bloggers and curated by Melanie Rickey where we were told all about Oasis’ Scarf Print collection made in collaboration with Nicky Albrechtsen. The talk was held in the beautiful teaching room where we were surrounded by vintage silk square scarves and some of the collection.

It has come to my attention, through the most unlikely of sources, that the genius that is Christian Louboutin is being honoured with a retrospective of his 20 year plus career. Quelle surprise! Now the unlikely source that told me this in none other than my Grandma hand in hand with her Saga Magazine, thanks Grandma!

So we all know by now that H&M like to do collaborations (think Cavalli, Matthew Williamson, Kylie Minogue and Madonna?!) and when they do them it’s not by halves! When designers create collections that are so true to their main fashion lines for a fraction of the price then who can resist?!

So as you may or may not know London Fashion Week happened over the last week with some of the best designer talent showing us what they’ve got for AW12. Now although I couldn’t go to the shows full time (sorry but paid work comes first!), I did manage to make it to a handful over the weekend. And Georgia Hardinge on Friday night was my first.

Hi Everyone!
I’m so sorry it’s been so long since we’ve spoke. It seems like I’ve not had a minute to get on here and give you the time you need so whilst I’m on my (much deserved) week off back ‘up North I’m getting back on this blogging horse.
And I’m starting with the M&S press event I went to a few weeks back….stay tuned for Valentine’s gifts, easter eggs and flower arranging. Spring is in the air!

….so sorry about that guys! Long time no speak (I know I keep saying that recently). I feel like I’ve been abandoning a few things recently and had my fingers in a lot of pies but I promise I’ll be back on top form asap!
I’ve got a few things coming up that I’ll be able to share with you soon but here’s a little round up of the past few weeks in the meantime!
Crafting
So now I have my working sewing machine again I’m looking to start a craft course for the winter. All possibilities will be considered but I’m still deciding! I’m also looking into joining the East End Women’s Institute. I’m sure you can learn a lot from the experienced ladies.

….so guys the last few weeks seem to have been MANIC!
I’ve been between Barcelona, Yorkshire and London and it seems there’s been no time for blogging lately. Whoops.
Anyways I thought I’d do a round up of where I’ve been, what I’ve been doing and where I’ve been (I know I’ve already said that).
SO here we go….. Continue Reading »

So as I said there’s been a few events going on these past few weeks. From London Fashion Week (yes I know I’m still to blog about it) to Vogue Fashion Night Out to The Look Show at Westfield Stratford. Yes it has been a busy few weeks!
But last Thursday I was invited to the launch party for Marks & Spencer’s new accessories collection. Now strictly speaking this was an interlude to the Christmas range but more than that….it was a Mad Hatters Tea Party!

Ok so I know I’ve been a bit behind with blogging recently…..too many things to see and not enough time to write about them so look out for more posts in the next few days.
But last Saturday I was lucky enough to be invited to The Look Show and what a treat it was. Whilst we were sat sipping champagne at the re-show reception, the likes of Kelis et al were schmoozing with the paparazzi, waiting for the catwalk show to begin.
So with new Autumn Winter collections being shown by Oasis, Warehouse, Miss Selfridge and Marks and Spencer there was some key pieces to snap up.
So with the show about to start, Sarah Harding (yes her off of Girls Aloud fame) waltzed down the runway in dress by Shivani Chavada. Chavada has been commissioned to produce a collection for Warehouse after she won the British Fashion Council’s design competition, full of bright colours and silky shapes.

….mainly because I haven’t spoken to you all in a while and secondly because you know we all love them!
So whilst I’m busy preparing a post on the Westfield Stratford City shopping centre that I got a preview tour of a few weeks ago, I’ll just show you some of my loves.
Let me know what you think and if you have any others that are beautiful too.
All my images are courtesy of Olsen Anonymous.
That’s pretty much all guys but I’ll get that Westfield post to you asap.
Also thanks to The Little Red Squirrel who liked my snap of her so much at Vintage by Hemmingway, that she posted it on her blog.
Cheers!
Well have a good evening guys.

So on Sunday I was lucky enough to be sent to review the Vintage by Hemingway Festival on London’s Southbank. Now I’d looked at tickets for this festival last year when it was Vintage at Goodwood but never got round to going, so when it was moved to London I just had to get myself sorted.
And it did not dissapoint! In fact I felt slightly underdressed in my bowler hat and shirt dress when i sould have been in a floral shirtwaister. There was such a multitude of outfits ranging from the 1950s to the 1980s it was amazing.
