On 15th November this year the lovely Marina (of The Diamonds fame) will be performing a one off gig at Baroque in London.

The lucky girl will be wearing dresses designed by Hasan Hejazi (exclusively for her none the less) and will be showing them off during the performance at Baroque.

I for one cannot wait, how about you?

So this weekend (the last one before my holiday if you didn’t know!) I went see the exhibits on offer at the New Designers show in Angel, London. The exhibition is designed to showcase and award “the Next Generation of Creative Talents.” A wide range of Universities take part and the graduates are in line for winning several awards.

So, in contrast to most of the graduate shows I write about, this event wasn’t exclusively to do with fashion. In fact only a few of the graduates work with fashion students to produce handbags/clothes but this event is mostly about showcasing the designs of the students. Many textile and fashion companies will then send scouts about to look for budding ideas that they can then buy the copyright to. In fact some companies even like the students ideas so much that they offer jobs and work placements to the graduates. Not bad for some then!

So looking round the stalls there were a few designs that stood out from the rest. And my particular favourites are the next few below.

Let me know what you think?

Fiona is influenced by Survival and her repetitive prints are all hand screen printed in Edinburgh.

Well then you’ll love the latest french export (aptly named) The Kooples.

With boutiques in the UK having opened up on Kings Road, Carnaby Street, Selfridges and Christopher’s Place this is one cult offering you need to look into. The would be twee stories on the website telling the story of their Kooples and how they came together.

Even the Telegraph agrees the the hipster matching styles are just what we need in Britain. Now saying that the brand isn’t cheap as chips but it’s no more pricey than high end high street.

This is one to take the boyf too for definite!

Let me know what you think!
Are you going to try out the matchy matchy look?

It’s a real life working old school photo booth!
So with the addition of some funky 70s fabric as our background below are the results.
And check out the interview with Alex Kokott here.

Hope you enjoy!

And sparkle she did at Westfield Shopping Centre when she turned on the Christmas lights in London. In true pop star style Rihanna was surrounded by children from the charity ‘Help A London Child’ and performed for the crowd in a stunning polka dot headband. Loving the red hair and the gorgeous George Lamb.

Check out my post on the Oasis Blog too.

I think that gets me in the festive season!
How many days left to go?!
