So you may or may not know (but seriously i talk about them all the time so where have you been?!) that i am a bit a massive fan of musicals. So imagine my excitement when I was invited to the press night of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at my favourite of all theatres, The New Wimbledon Theatre. And the icing on the cake….Joseph was being played by none other than H from STEPS…cue girly childhood screams!!

London Fashion Week…How I love you!

Oh London Fashion Week…you come around soo fast! It doesn’t seem like two minutes since we were looking at the SS13 trends and now it’s AW13 already!

Ragdale Hall: a Health Hydro and Thermal Spa with a difference….

Has anyone heard of the little piece of heaven that is Ragdale Hall?
We’ll if not, then this post will surely make you sit up and book your visit there!

I was lucky enough to go and visit the luxury Health Hydro and Thermal Spa last week and it does not disappoint. Situated near to Melton Mowbray (yes the home of Pork Pies!), this spa hotel is completely secluded from the rest of society, in fact the view for miles around is beautiful fields and land with no built up land for miles.

Marina & The Diamonds perform a one off intimate gig

On 15th November this year the lovely Marina (of The Diamonds fame) will be performing a one off gig at Baroque in London.

The lucky girl will be wearing dresses designed by Hasan Hejazi (exclusively for her none the less) and will be showing them off during the performance at Baroque.

I for one cannot wait, how about you?

London Fashion Week – move over Milan, Paris and New York!

So the other week (as I’m sure you know) was London Fashion Week. We’ve had New York, we’ve had Milan and Paris will happen in a few days time, but London is the one for me!

Some of the best shows happen in London, from Burberry to Mulberry, and although I didn’t make it to all of them (some of us have to work you know!) but what I did see from Bora Aksu to Maria Grachvogel was very ethereal and pastel based. SS13 will be very pretty!

Styled to Rock – Rihanna, Henry Holland and Nicola Roberts show us what they’ve got…

So walking around Oxford Street this morning to visit our lovely girls in the press office (it was play work I swear) myself and Katy, of From Primark to Prada, we’re street style snapped by the guys at Styled to Rock. For those of you who don’t know, the show sees unknown stylists revamp the biggest stars in Pop. Oh and Rihannah’s part of it. Need I say anymore?

So have you heard of Miinto? Thought not. Neither had I until a little while ago. We’ll they’ve come from a long way away (Denmark, Norway, Sweden and the US to be precise) but finally they’re in the UK. Basically their aim is to bring small and independent boutiques to us using their online site and ecommerce expertise. Not bad hey? So with brands from “7 For For All Mankind”, “Fred Perry”, “Penguin” and “Vivienne Westwood” you know these guys know their stuff. And the best bit is you can shop them all 24/7. They beauty of online shopping hey?

A spot of Pinterest anyone?

You may have heard of a little thing called Pinterest. No? Yes? Maybe? Phone a friend?

Well whether yo have or you haven’t it’s a revolution! Basically like an online mood board for every inspiration you have ever had from food to fashion (and everything in-between) it’s my little haven. Instead of ripping all those images out of magazines (ok so I still do that) I can store them all online. Genius!

Girl Crush Alert – Michelle Williams in Louis Vuitton

I heart Michelle Williams. Her elfin crop and super cool outfits make her a very suitable girl crush du jour.
So I was very happy to find this picture of Michelle in a double breasted jacket (blue is the way forward, much softer than black) through Disney Roller Girl.

So last weekend I went to Field Day along with thousands of other scenesters and (despite the rain at the end THANKS FOR THAT!) what a wonderful day it was. Oh the music was good yeah but most of all…

…my highlight was Alexa Chung following me around. I know, it’s alright you can leave me be!

However she did look gorge though.

I Dreamed a Dream…

….and that dream was for a Les Miserables movie. Ok so this isn’t strictly a ‘fashion’ post but I’m beyond excited for this film to come out at Christmas. And how great does Anne Hathaway sound as Fantine?!

With a stellar cast (including the beautiful Eddie Redmayne) what more could you want?!

I’m sold!

p.s. I’m off to Berlin this week so I’m hoping to visit lots of flea markets and vintage shops and hopefully come back with some pretty things. I’ll show you what I find when I get back.

Happy 1st Birthday Glossybox!

So the other night I went along to the Glossybox 1st Birthday Party for a few cocktails and canapés with my friend Katy aka From Primark to Prada. Even though the free cocktails ran out by 9.30pm (criminal) we did come away with a very beautifully wrapped Glossybox of our own and some photo booth pics to boot!
